Events at Other Venues
The HCKC website and forum are primarily to promote HCKC and the events it hosts. It also provides its members with a means to communicate with each other and for interested parties to learn about the track, the club and the sport of karting. While HCKC members and area racers are interested in other racing events at other tracks we ask that you do not use the HCKC forum to promote those events when they are held on dates that conflict with the HCKC race schedule. You may post about other area racing events if they do not conflict with the HCKC race schedule. There are other forums available for you to post conflicting events on.
This excludes Regional and National events - for example the IKF Grand Nationals, or SWRA's events.
Cross Posting
Please post your topic to one forum only. If it needs to be moved, alert a moderator by pm. Classifieds should be posted in one forum only. Do not make duplicate classified posts.
Disputes & Grievances
The forum is not to be used to post about race day disputes or grievances. These issues should be addressed directly to the appropriate race director and board members.
Subjects and Topics
Use meaningful subjects in the forum and comments which give information about your posting. Do not use subjects like "Help! I´m lost".
Please stay on topic, be kind to other members.
Keep important club related discussion to the "Member Area", the karting section is for general discussion on the karts, sport, etc.

We do not tolerate spamming or trolling, these posts may be edited or deleted without warning.

Do not use offensive language. We are here for people of all ages, and want everyone to feel comfortable. Offensive language constitutes as profanity, racial, ethnic, and gender based insults or any other personal discrimination and posts meant to offend or hurt any other member.
Adult content is not permitted in any fashion, this is a family oriented forum.

Pay attention to moderation directives
Moderators can give directives in a thread (e.g., stop posting off-topic, stop bad behavior, etc). Everyone is expected to abide by such directives. Directives may be general ("stop being so hostile") to specific ("no more talk about chili”), and are intended to keep a thread from completely derailing. If you are interested in helping to moderate on the forums, please PM an admin for further discussion - since this is a club run website all the help is appreciated.
Moderators should almost always give warnings; however, repeat offenders might not get a warning before having content/posts/etc. deleted or edited. No Armchair Moderating - do not post attempts at moderation, alert a moderator if you feel an item needs attention.
Humor
It is hard for humor to come across in writing, and sometimes other posters can take an attempt on humor as something possibly hostile. Using tags like /humor or /sarcasm will help, or smilies built into the forums for example - remember not everyone knows who you are and how you may come across in person.
